HTC Announces Vive Pro Eye Virtual Reality Headset with Local Eye Tracking Technology
Opens new possibilities for hands-free access and interaction
HTC VIVE Pro

HTC announced a new version of Vive Pro's high-end virtual reality speaker today at CES, which comes with integrated eye tracking.

Known as Vive Pro Eye, VIV is a high-quality VR experience thanks to a technique called "fungus delivery" that focuses only on what the human eye sees in a virtual scene and reduces image quality. Things on the ocean.

In addition to high quality images, VR eye tracking opens up new possibilities for new hands-free formats in VR and accessibility options for those who do not have the ability to use full motion controls.

Imagine being able to quickly open menus, or search a library of addresses or even open web, and select objects in a virtual environment by focusing your vision range only.

Samsung is launching Android Pie for Galaxy S9 in Europe
Early Christmas gift for S9 owners

In just the right time for holidays, Samsung began releasing the Android Pie for the Galaxy S9.

SamMobile was the first to notice the German release, while other Twitter users have seen a refresh update becoming available in the Netherlands and Slovakia as well.

In addition to updates made by Google, the Android Pie on the S9 also incorporates the Samsung One One user interface, a new user experience designed to make applications easier to use on larger phones, among other enhancements.

Although this latest update has reached Samsung devices much faster than previous versions of Android, the South Korean company is still lagging behind the operating system such as Nokia, OnePlus and even HTC with its update schedule.

Google earlier tried to speed up adoption of new versions of Android with Project Treble, but in early 2017, only 21.5% of Android devices running Android Oreo or later were in late October this year.

Samsung is getting faster in releasing Android updates.

The Galaxy S8 owners had to wait seven months after the original release of Oreo before they were made available to their devices, while Android Nougat took at least five months to reach the Galaxy S7.

At its annual developer conference, Samsung said it expects to issue the Pie version in January 2019, when we expect the full deployment of the new program.

Android Pie was released in the first week of August.
We are approaching the fourth month after launch and some companies are now getting the latest version of Android on their devices.

In fact, there are some who started selling devices in the last month or two who are shipping with the Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

HTC's mobile phone division was not in the best position now, but they even managed to beat some of these original equipment manufacturers, as HTC U11 Life began to get updated to the Android 9 Pie.

Interestingly, U11 Life is the first HTC smart phone to receive an update for Android Pie

We covered it last year in early November, and while it was sad to see it launch with Android Nougat, the device was quickly updated to Android Oreo

The HTC U11 Life is an Android One so it makes sense to be the first in the U11 series to receive an update to Android Pie.

However, we are surprised at its superiority over the HTC U12 + (the company's current flagship) where ships tend to receive the most attention when it comes to major OTA updates.

We learned about HTC plans to update the HTC U11, HTC U11 +, HTC U11 Life and the HTC U12 + for the Android 9 Pie a few months ago.

They issued this announcement in causal form and gave no details as to when we should expect any of these devices to be updated. Many believe that the U12 + will be the first to be updated.

The thing is, it's possible that they started working on Android Pie for U12 + first, but they also started working on other devices also advertised.

Because HTC U11 Life is an Android One device, it's faster to complete and has led us to today.

We're still holding onto the ground to learn more about HTC's Android Pie updates because this updated device means it opens additional resources to U11, U11 +, and U12 +.
