After being released in South Korea and the UK, Samsung is finally ready to explain when the Galaxy Fold will return to the US sale: September 27.

Samsung says it will be available in the AT&T version and the standard unlocked version. It's a smaller launch than the first time, as it will only be available at AT&T Select and Best Buy stores - as well as Samsung Experience stores (must also be available for online ordering).

The fold has been slightly redesigned to make it more durable than the first release, as we mentioned in detail when Samsung unveiled the fixes to reporters earlier this month.

See the video above for details about the changes, including a screen protector that you don't seem to be supposed to remove.

Despite the changes, concerns about the durability of the $ 1980 device not only persist but are quite reasonable. Zack Nelson put the 5G version of the fold with its usual durability tests on its YouTube channel JerryRigEverything.

The performance has been very similar to other smartphones except in two main areas: how easy it is to put permanent markings on the screen, and how easy it seems to feel the gravel inside the hinge mechanism.

We've been waiting to see if Samsung will provide more details about the Galaxy Premier Service and don't look foreseen - or more precisely, what Samsung said earlier seems to be the full show and display of the software.

Customers who purchase the Galaxy Fold will have the option of having a personal setup session with a Samsung expert.

They will also have direct access to custom fold support via an app, web, or dedicated phone line. Many had hoped that Samsung would include some kind of enhanced warranty support, but that seems not to be the case.

What are the biggest problems with the new phone Galaxy Fold?

Probably, direct access to support channels for specific folds will make it easier to get fixes or alternatives than usual.

It is time to re-launch - and perhaps to some surprise. Samsung launched the folding as if it were a standard flagship phone, giving it plenty of time on the stage at one of the "unfilled" press events.

But the fragile $2,000 device might have been supposed to be positioned as a specialized (or even luxurious) device more clearly.

What are the causes of the New Galaxy Fold Phone failure

Even so, many early review units (including ours) evolved catastrophic hardware problems in mere days. Samsung delayed the launch and eventually canceled all pre-actions, although it gave some customers a $250 credit to their stores.

We did our best to review the folder "as if", did not have those major issues, and did not know at the time that the original version would be canceled. We will review the revised version soon.
