Play console games on the computer within the network, Microsoft Xbox One, and Windows 10 computers work well together. Well, in fact, you can stream Xbox One games to your computer.

Why do you want to do this? Maybe because you prefer your screen on your TV. Or maybe your Xbox One is on the other side of the house, and you just want to stream wirelessly to your computer instead of buying a 50-foot HDMI cable to connect the two physically.

There's an engaging feature: Unlike PlayStation 4 and Play Now in PlayStation 4, two features that allow you to stream from anywhere, your Xbox One console and PC must be on the same network.

However, it's a great trick. There are only a few simple steps you need to take in order to send your console feed to your computer.

Use the XBOX CONSOLE COMPANION application

If you have a desktop or laptop running Windows 10, it's likely that the Companion app for Xbox Console is already installed. (This was previously known as the Xbox app; Microsoft is turning it into a more progressive gaming dashboard.) You can download the app from the Microsoft Store if it's not already on your computer.

Open the app, and then sign in to your Microsoft account (which is also your Xbox account) when prompted.

Once you're signed in, click the menu button in the upper-right corner of the Xbox Console Companion app window. Opens a list of items. Click Connect near the bottom of that list.

Click "Add device" in the top middle section of the application window. The application will look for the Xbox One controller in your network. Click Connect once you find your console.

If your console does not appear, enter its IP address in the appropriate field. The Xbox One IP address can be found by opening the Settings menu on the console, and then clicking Network> Network Settings> Advanced Settings.

After connecting, your console will appear under the Now Playing section of the Xbox Console Companion app. Click it and your computer will display a live feed from your Xbox One.

Fixed lag on the wireless network

While playing on your computer, there may be some delay depending on your Wi-Fi network speeds. One way to speed up intermittent streaming is to use Ethernet instead if this is an option.

You can also use the Xbox Console Companion app to adjust the resolution in the stream, resulting in a fast-moving image, but at the expense of image quality.

To access the drop-down menu, press the Menu button at the top left of the screen, near the Full-Screen button.

If you want to look at the exact details of the stream, such as bitrate, bandwidth usage and more, click the button that appears near the bottom right of the screen.

I don't use the Xbox Console Companion app on my computer very often, but it's useful when I want to play Xbox at the same time that others prefer to watch something else on the TV.

It is particularly useful for games with slow speed, where do not enter the input speed, but I found it sufficient for games like Asura's Wrath, which depend on the completion of events quickly to make progress.
