Mozilla launches Firefox Premium by the end of 2019, technology news

Mozilla launches Firefox Premium by the end of 2019, technology news, Mozilla CEO Chris Bird said in an interview with T3N that Mozilla plans to launch a new subscription service called Firefox Premium.

This is one of those steps taken to increase the company's revenue.

As of now, Firefox earns money by using Google as its default search engine, and also by implementing it to program content called Pocket. Bird said about 90% of the money comes from Search.

So far, Firefox has been offered free of charge to customers. Now, in addition to all the free features, the company adds two new services in its browser, costing you some dollars.

In Firefox's Premium plans, the company adds secure cloud storage services and VPN services to users.

VPN in Firefox will be a two-tier service. All users will get some bandwidth for free, and those who want more will have to spend money from their pockets every month.

Firefox Premium is scheduled to launch in October 2019, and a free version of the platform will also be available. The free version will come with all the features users now get on Firefox.
