What are the causes of New Galaxy Fold Phone failure

Shortly after Samsung sent the Galaxy Fold review units to reporters this month, all forms of hell collapsed.

Regardless of the accuracy of the Samsung test for the durability of the first collapsible headphone under controlled conditions, real-life use has proven that the new phone is simply not ready for peak use.

Some of the issues that arose, such as when the reviewers removed the protective film, were clear.

Others, not much.
Samsung has postponed the launch of Galaxy Fold, saying it is carefully considering all reported problems.

While we will have to wait for their conclusions, we now have some preliminary explanations as to why the New Galaxy Fold phone screen is failing.

IFixit, known for its timelessness and tool repair manuals, was famous for the new Galaxy Fold, and found several reasons for concern

For starters, that screen protector?
You really should not peel off it:

In all known cases (including our case!), Removing this layer will kill the screen. The screen can work technically without the layer, but it is firmly attached and the screen is so fragile that it is difficult to remove without using a broken screen pressure.

IFixit notes that the layer is very similar to the layer on top of the New phone Galaxy S10, which is confusing, and something that might convince some reviewers to peel it.

One solution is to extend the layer below the edges to "hide them from peeling happy people." But the edges also appear to be a problem, as they may peel off over time themselves, which may lead to more screen damage:

We usually prefer light touch when it comes to adhesives.
However, in this case, we can only worry about peeling these edges over time, exposing the screen to damage.

The most troubling issue, however, relates to the design of the New Phone.

NEW SAMSUNG GALAXY A80 PHONE HAS ONE OF THE MOST AGGRESSIVE DESIGNS EVER SEEN ON THE SCREEN

Because it is a retractable device, it has some design characteristics that will make it easy for debris to damage the screen, either by contacting it directly or by pressing inside the phone, via the hinge mechanism.

The screen frame contains a gap (above) that can allow small dust particles to reach the screen:

This 7 mm gap does not look like a huge deal, but it leaves the screen exposed, so if something is accidentally inserted, it is screen blinds.

The most disturbing details, however, relate to the design of the hinge (above):

When closed, the screen is protected - but the spine is surrounded by the huge gaps that the openings take. These gaps are unlikely to damage the screen instantly, but they will certainly attract dirt.

However, we have to wait until Samsung officially explains the error in folding and whether it can be fixed.

It's still better for you not to arrange your phone in advance.
