Google Chrome Get the security patch to fix the zero day exploit

"The update was launched on all platforms including Mac, Windows, Linux, and Android"

Google has just revealed that Chrome's latest security update was designed to fix a zero-day vulnerability.

The search giant released Chrome version 72.0.3626.121 last week for Mac, Windows, and Linux.

However, it was only yesterday that the company's "high" nature of exploitative intensity is used as a means of exploiting security by malicious parties.

The Google Safety Team urges Chrome users on all platforms to update to the latest version as soon as the security fix appears on their devices.

Google's internal threat analysis group found a security threat yesterday called internally CVE-2019-5786 high.

It takes advantage of the FileReader API, which allows websites to read local files and, in the worst case, can be exploited to execute malicious code.

For those who do not know, Zero Day is a security threat that the original software maker could not see during testing before the program was released. The threat is detected later when it is announced and must be repaired later.

The update is being rolled out on all platforms at the moment, including Android, while Chrome OS users must already have OTA.

Mac, Windows, and Linux users can also manually update their browsers by going to chrome: // settings / help if they do not receive OTA.

Chrome OS users can also follow similar steps if they do not receive an update notification.

In a related story, Google is testing the dark situation of Chrome, albeit in Canary's experimental channel.

With Android Q set to get dark mode at the system level, we can see the browser also gets the feature in the near future.
