AT & T says that millions of 4G phones will soon be on the fifth generation

When is 4G and not 4G? When it is 5G, of course.
The giant AT & T plans to rename millions of potential 4G LTE phones to appear on 5G networks, the company said on Friday, explaining that many of the technologies that are heavily associated with the fastest-growing fifth-generation network plans to launch. 4G current company.

"If they have one of the latest Android devices and connect to a tower that is enabled with the 5G Evolution, the" 5G E "indicator will soon be seen on the screen," said an AT & T spokesperson for FierceWireless

"We will initially put this on a few devices, with more devices displaying the index in the spring of 2019."

The 5G networks are super speeds and waiting time is almost nonexistent, resulting not only in faster download speeds but also in a wide range of applications outside of mobile phones

Telecommunications companies offer "fixed wireless" options to allow consumers to use their mobile networks at home, for example, providing an alternative that needs cable and DSL.

Networks can also have applications ranging from self-driving cars to virtual reality to the smart home - if some serious technological hurdles can be avoided.

At the same time, 4G LTE, an abbreviation for Long Term Evolution, continues to evolve. Gigabit LTE is an ongoing effort to improve existing 4G networks as a way to bridge 4G and 4G.

It offers some 5G features and depends on advanced techniques to get there, such as carrier assembly, which uses multiple frequencies on cellular towers to send data to and from your phone; QAM, which allows for more data transmission simultaneously; and 4 × 4 MIMO, which adds additional antennas to the devices, allowing your phone to capture better signals, resulting in increased speed.

Advanced LTE? Yes, we have already done so, AT & T claims, noting that many of these technologies are already part of their networks in certain areas.

On these sites, phones that display a few 4G LTE icons in the upper right corner of their displays will instead carry 5G E indicators, the company says.

At the same time, AT & T has launched a new 5G network across the country and announces the launch of 5G networks in 12 cities across the US: Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Louisville, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Raleigh, San Antonio and Waco.

The service is initially limited to pre-selected customers and will be provided free of charge for at least 90 days.
